(Venturia spp.)

Fungal diseases of apple (Malus spp.), pear (Pyrus spp.) and the mountain ashes (Sorbus spp.), which attack leaves and shoots and disfigure fruit. Leaves develop blotches which, together with the leaf veins, become more or less sooty, while fruit develop blackish corky patches.
